Oxblood leather · Black burnished toe · Elongated almond forepart · Leather sole
An uninterrupted oxblood leather upper gives this wholecut Oxford its clean outline. Black burnishing deepens the toe, while black laces and a warm brown sole edge balance the red-burgundy finish. The elongated almond forepart keeps the silhouette refined without adding a cap seam or brogue pattern.

The lace closure lets you adjust the hold across the instep. Select your US size and D, E, EE or EEE width from your measurements rather than adding length to compensate for a wide forefoot. If closed-lacing dress shoes usually press over your instep, compare your measurements with the Handsole Fit Guide before ordering.

Last & Fit
An elongated almond forepart with a clean lace opening
The toe narrows gradually into an elongated almond shape. With no cap seam across the front, the wholecut upper emphasizes that length and taper. The visible outline describes the silhouette, rather than guaranteeing extra space inside; check that your toes have comfortable room through the forepart when standing.

This design gives the colour and shape room to do the work. The wholecut upper leaves the vamp and quarters largely uninterrupted, so the oxblood finish can run across the shoe without a toe cap or decorative panel dividing it. Dark burnishing at the toe adds depth and frames the elongated almond forepart.
Wholecut Oxford · Oxblood patina · Black burnished toe
Black laces tie the darker toe into the rest of the upper, while the brown leather sole edge and layered heel add warmth below it. It offers a rich alternative for navy or charcoal tailoring and evening trousers when you want colour within a restrained dress-shoe silhouette. A leather outsole maintains the slim profile shown in the gallery.

Common questions
Use the size guide for US sizing, width and last guidance. If you are between sizes or unsure about width/last, compare your measurements with the product fit notes or contact Handsole before production. Break-in varies by the specific upper, lining, sole, construction and fit.
If the fit needs attention, contact us under the Fit Promise so we can review the issue and the available remake, adjustment or return option for that order.
Break-in varies by leather, lining, last and fit. A correctly sized pair should feel secure rather than painfully tight; the leather and insole will gradually conform with wear.
Construction details for this product are listed in the Materials & Construction section above. Where the build is resoleable, the upper can be retained while a worn sole is replaced when the pair remains serviceable.
Choose from the widths offered above. If you need unusual forefoot or instep room, have different left/right measurements, or repeatedly struggle with fit, review the Sizing & Fit guide or contact us before production so we can compare the available last/width options or a custom adjustment.
Remove loose dust with a soft brush or clean cloth. Follow the care instructions for the specific leather and finish; suede, patent, patina and two-tone uppers may need different products. Test any suitable cleaner, cream or conditioner on an inconspicuous area first, and use separate clean applicators on contrasting colours. Condition only when the leather and finish need it, rather than on a fixed schedule. Let damp shoes dry naturally away from direct heat. Contact Handsole before attempting recolouring or using a treatment whose compatibility is uncertain.
