A square forepart with an open heel and low rear rim

The front has a visibly squared outline with softened corners, giving this mule more horizontal presence than an almond toe. The broad-looking toe is a design feature; it does not by itself guarantee extra internal width.

The rear is open above a low raised rim, so it cannot hold the heel like a closed shoe. The double straps frame the vamp, but buckle adjustment should not substitute for correct length and instep fit. Why this square-toe double monk mule exists

This shoe translates the structure of a double monk into a backless form. Two silver-tone buckles retain the recognisable dress-shoe detail, while the open heel makes the profile more relaxed. Croc-pattern texture gives the otherwise monochrome upper a strong rhythm of rectangular scales.

The square toe echoes the geometry of the texture and hardware, creating a deliberately solid front. A low raised rear rim and warm brown sole edge add definition from the side. It belongs with relaxed tailoring and clean trouser lines where a conventional slipper is too casual and a closed monk feels too formal.
