Our Commitment
Handsole wants the website and ecommerce experience to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including customers who use assistive technologies or alternative input methods.
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing product and content responsibility rather than a one-time certification.
Our Accessibility Approach
When designing and maintaining the site, we aim to use established accessibility practices such as semantic structure, keyboard-operable controls, visible focus states, meaningful form labels, useful alternative text, sufficient contrast, clear error messaging, reduced-motion support, and responsive layouts.
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as an important reference for this work. This statement does not claim that every page or third-party service has been independently certified as fully conformant.
Ecommerce & Account Accessibility
Key customer journeys include browsing products, selecting size and width, cart, checkout, account access, order tracking, address management, and password recovery. We aim to keep these journeys operable with a keyboard and understandable with assistive technology as the WooCommerce implementation and third-party services evolve.
Third-Party Services
Some functionality may be supplied by third parties, including payment gateways, shipping tools, embedded media, analytics, or other services. Handsole may not control every accessibility characteristic of those services, but we will consider accessible alternatives or workarounds when practical.
If You Need Help
If an accessibility barrier prevents you from using the website, completing an order, accessing account information, or contacting us, please use the Contact page and describe the page, task, and problem you encountered. We will use that information to investigate and help provide the information or service in another practical way where possible.
Feedback
Accessibility feedback is useful because actual customer needs can reveal problems that automated checks do not. When reporting an issue, including the browser, device, assistive technology, and URL can help us reproduce the problem more quickly.
Ongoing Improvement
As the site changes, we plan to review important templates, forms, navigation, product-selection states, WooCommerce notices, and new content for accessibility regressions. This statement should be updated when material accessibility practices or contact methods change.
