Smooth brown leather with cognac croc-pattern panels · Black laces and closed Oxford lacing · Rounded toe
A smooth brown cap toe meets a brighter cognac croc-pattern panel in this two-tone Oxford. The textured leather runs through the lacing area and along the inner side, while the outer profile remains predominantly smooth brown. That asymmetry gives the shoe a different character as you move around it. Black laces draw a clean line through the warm central panel, and the rounded forepart keeps the silhouette balanced. A brown sole edge and layered heel connect the two upper colours without introducing a third competing finish. The result is a dress shoe with visible texture and an understated shape.

The closed lacing adjusts over the instep, though its range can feel different from an open-laced Derby. The textured panel does not establish internal width or added stretch. If you have a high instep, pay attention to how comfortably the facings sit when tied. Consult the Fit Guide using the socks you expect to wear with this pair.

A rounded cap toe with closed Oxford lacing
The rounded forepart gives this cap-toe Oxford a balanced outline. The seam across the toe is decorative construction detail rather than a guide to where your toes should end. Check length and forefoot room from your measurements, with enough space for the toes to rest naturally.

This Oxford uses texture and colour to reinterpret a familiar cap-toe design. The smooth brown toe gives the eye a calm starting point, while the cognac croc-pattern panel introduces detail around the lacing and inner side. Keeping the cap toe free of pattern makes the contrast especially clear.
Cap-Toe Oxford · Two-Tone Burnished Leather · Rounded toe
The two profiles intentionally read differently: one is quieter and predominantly brown, while the other carries more cognac texture. Black laces and a brown sole edge bring them together. It is a shoe for someone who wants a recognisable dress silhouette with a detail that becomes more interesting at close range.

Common questions
Use the size guide for US sizing, width and last guidance. If you are between sizes or unsure about width/last, compare your measurements with the product fit notes or contact Handsole before production. Break-in varies by the specific upper, lining, sole, construction and fit.
If the fit needs attention, contact us under the Fit Promise so we can review the issue and the available remake, adjustment or return option for that order.
Break-in varies by leather, lining, last and fit. A correctly sized pair should feel secure rather than painfully tight; the leather and insole will gradually conform with wear.
Construction details for this product are listed in the Materials & Construction section above. Where the build is resoleable, the upper can be retained while a worn sole is replaced when the pair remains serviceable.
Choose from the widths offered above. If you need unusual forefoot or instep room, have different left/right measurements, or repeatedly struggle with fit, review the Sizing & Fit guide or contact us before production so we can compare the available last/width options or a custom adjustment.
Remove loose dust with a soft brush or clean cloth. Follow the care instructions for the specific leather and finish; suede, patent, patina and two-tone uppers may need different products. Test any suitable cleaner, cream or conditioner on an inconspicuous area first, and use separate clean applicators on contrasting colours. Condition only when the leather and finish need it, rather than on a fixed schedule. Let damp shoes dry naturally away from direct heat. Contact Handsole before attempting recolouring or using a treatment whose compatibility is uncertain.
