Last & Fit
A rounded toe keeps the forepart balanced
The rounded forepart gives the toes a more forgiving front shape without making the shoe look bulky. It keeps the silhouette relaxed and balanced rather than long or sharply tapered.
Because this cap toe oxford is made to order, choose your normal US dress-shoe size and the offered D, E, EE or EEE width. If you are between sizes or regularly experience heel slip or forefoot pressure, use the Fit Guide before production.

The cap-toe Oxford is one of the most controlled dress-shoe patterns, which makes it a useful base for color work. Here, the formal closed-lacing structure stays intact while the leather moves from warm amber through cognac into darker burnished brown around the toe and seams.
Cap toe · Closed lacing · Cognac burnishing · Rounded toe
Fine brogue perforation along the cap and pattern edges adds definition without turning the shoe into a full brogue. The rounded forepart keeps the silhouette balanced and wearable for business or event dressing even with the stronger hand-finished color variation.

Common questions
Use the size guide for US sizing, width and last guidance. If you are between sizes or unsure about width/last, compare your measurements with the product fit notes or contact Handsole before production. Break-in varies by the specific upper, lining, sole, construction and fit.
If the fit needs attention, contact us under the Fit Promise so we can review the issue and the available remake, adjustment or return option for that order.
Break-in varies by leather, lining, last and fit. A correctly sized pair should feel secure rather than painfully tight; the leather and insole will gradually conform with wear.
Construction details for this product are listed in the Materials & Construction section above. Where the build is resoleable, the upper can be retained while a worn sole is replaced when the pair remains serviceable.
Choose from the widths offered above. If you need unusual forefoot or instep room, have different left/right measurements, or repeatedly struggle with fit, review the Sizing & Fit guide or contact us before production so we can compare the available last/width options or a custom adjustment.
Cedar shoe trees after every wear. Brush off dust before applying conditioner. Use a quality leather conditioner every 4–6 weeks depending on use. Polish occasionally. The leather will darken slightly and develop a patina over time — that's expected and desirable.
