Burgundy croc-pattern leather with lizard-pattern vamp panels · Gold-tone bit-style hardware · Rounded toe
Two reptile-style textures give this burgundy horsebit loafer its layered character. Larger croc-pattern scales cover the toe and sides, while a finer lizard-pattern panel runs through the vamp and tongue. A burgundy strap carries gold-tone bit-style hardware across the centre, linking the two surfaces with a warm metallic accent. The rounded forepart keeps the overall outline balanced, and a brown sole edge and layered heel add warmth beneath the deep red upper. This is a detailed slip-on whose interest comes from the relationship between scale, colour and hardware rather than from an exaggerated shape.
Rounded toe — this shape defines the shoe's toe profile and internal volume. Choose any listed size and width for this design; we make the pair to your selected configuration.

Fit Confidence
⊞
The gold-tone hardware and crossing strap are decorative; they do not tighten the vamp. A secure loafer fit depends on the heel, instep and forefoot working together. Avoid sizing down to remove heel movement if that causes pressure over the foot. Compare your measurements with the Fit Guide and consider the socks you plan to use with the pair.

Last & Fit
A rounded forepart beneath a fixed hardware strap
The rounded toe sits beneath the larger reptile-pattern panels. Pattern size and visible seams do not establish the room available inside. Check that the forefoot rests comfortably and that the toes are not crowded when standing or walking.

This loafer uses contrasting scale sizes to create depth within one burgundy colour family. The broader croc-pattern surface defines the toe and side panels, while the finer lizard-pattern vamp gives the centre a different rhythm. Gold-tone hardware draws those surfaces together without adding another leather colour.
Horsebit Loafer · Burgundy Reptile-Pattern Leather · Rounded toe
The rounded forepart keeps the silhouette approachable despite the expressive textures. Brown sole edging gives the deep red finish a warmer base and connects naturally with darker tailored outfits. The design sits among dressier slip-ons for someone who wants the details to become more interesting as the shoe is seen closer.

Common questions
Use the size guide for US sizing, width and last guidance. If you are between sizes or unsure about width/last, compare your measurements with the product fit notes or contact Handsole before production. Break-in varies by the specific upper, lining, sole, construction and fit.
If the fit needs attention, contact us under the Fit Promise so we can review the issue and the available remake, adjustment or return option for that order.
Break-in varies by leather, lining, last and fit. A correctly sized pair should feel secure rather than painfully tight; the leather and insole will gradually conform with wear.
Construction details for this product are listed in the Materials & Construction section above. Where the build is resoleable, the upper can be retained while a worn sole is replaced when the pair remains serviceable.
Choose from the widths offered above. If you need unusual forefoot or instep room, have different left/right measurements, or repeatedly struggle with fit, review the Sizing & Fit guide or contact us before production so we can compare the available last/width options or a custom adjustment.
Remove loose dust with a soft brush or clean cloth. Follow the care instructions for the specific leather and finish; suede, patent, patina and two-tone uppers may need different products. Test any suitable cleaner, cream or conditioner on an inconspicuous area first, and use separate clean applicators on contrasting colours. Condition only when the leather and finish need it, rather than on a fixed schedule. Let damp shoes dry naturally away from direct heat. Contact Handsole before attempting recolouring or using a treatment whose compatibility is uncertain.
